Neil Diamond - You Don't Bring Me Flowers LP (Japan, Promo,1978)

                                          Mastersound '76 Series

Here we go with Mr. Neil Diamond and his album You Don't Bring Me Flowers. This one is a japanese pressing and part of the Mastersound 76 series.

Mastersound 76 means  a ½" tape with a speed of 0.76cm/sec was used which should be close to the original mastering material and cutted to disc.

I don't have an other copy of this release yet available but this one is a pleasure to hear. Everything is in place - treble, bass, stereo panorama, really great. The whole frequency ranges are absolutely excellent.

But I have found some interference signals, I don't hear them, that are really interesting to see. Let's take a look.

01. The American Popular Song

Interference at 15kHz and at 28kHz. Nevermind the 44kHz. That's an issue from my recording rig.

02. Forever In Blue Jeans

There comes a new one at 20kHz. The other same as above.

03. Remember Me

04. You've Got Your Troubles

05. You Don't Bring Me Flowers

Three interference signals. Also a little frequency drop-down, 37kHz.

06. The Dancing Bumble Bee / Bumble Boogie

See, the interferences are gone except my rig problem.

07. Mothers And Daughters, Fathers And Sons

28kHz are back.

08. Memphis Flyer

It's slightly visible.

09. Say Maybe

Looks good.

10. Diamond Girls
