Jean-Luc Ponty - Civilized Evil (Japan, 1980)
Here we are with a violinist extraordinary. This is Jean-Luc Ponty - Civilized Evil on japanese vinyl. I like the japanese releases the most. Mostly they come with an obi-strip (see pic above)
and many extras (additional lyric sheet english-japanese, biography,...) and of course the sound and pressing quality are awesome. Japanese perfection.
Mr. Ponty merges his violin sound with synth effects which I really find absolutely awesome.
This one is one of my favourites which I own. Please give him a listen.
Throughout the whole album we have some interference signals which are easy for us to see. Let's take a look.
01. Demagomania
There is some effect layer upon the whole time of the song which makes a detailed frequency analysis (see red COF lettering; means Cut-off frequency) a little bit harder. But I think we are in
the 39kHz range. Interference approx. 21 and 22kHz
02. In Case We Survive
40kHz
03. Forms Of Life
A little drop-down, 30kHz
04. Peace Crusaders
42kHz
05. Happy Robots
43kHz
06. Shape Up Your Mind
41kHz
07. Good Guys, Bad Guys
COF again red. I can only guess approx. 39kHz?
08. Once A Blue Planet
31kHz
